Pre and Post Natal Yoga from De Gasquet method

Pre-Natal Yoga can help with:

We will adapt the poses to:

 

a) your needs and the intention for the class and

b) to the trimester you are in

 

Each trimester has a specific energetic and physical focus and yoga poses will be used in accordance with how far you are in your pregnancy.

 

Also, prenatal yoga will create a greater body awareness which will prepare you to listen to your body and move through the best positions to accompany the baby during the birth.

 

Moreover, the breathing exercises will increase the lung capacity which, again, will prepare you for labour.

Post-Natal Yoga

 

 

Postnatal yoga slowly allows your body to heal after pregnancy and birth.

It will have positive benefits on both your body and mind.

 

 

Post-Natal Yoga can help with:

 

  • Closing up the pelvis

  • Draining what still needs to be eliminated from the uterus

  • Constipation

  • Reinforcement of the pelvic floor 

  • Strengthening deep abdominal muscles

  • Relaxing the neck and upper back

  • Easing ligament pain

  • Stretching and relaxing the whole body

  • Strengthening, relaxing the body and increasing energy

  • Reducing anxiety and depression 

 

Additional benefits I can advise on:

 

  • Adopting postures that will allow you to relax and/or tone up your body while breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, bathing or carrying baby, etc.

  • Tips for resting in the first weeks
